Aramid Paper Honeycomb

Aramid Paper Honeycomb

Classification: Structural Core Materials

Aramid paper honeycomb is a hexagonal honeycomb core manufactured using domestic meta- and para-aramid paper, as well as DuPont Nomex® aramid paper. It is impregnated with materials such as phenolic resin and high-temperature-resistant polyimide resin.

Details

Properties

Aramid paper honeycomb exhibits outstanding specific stiffness (approximately 9 times that of steel), excellent corrosion resistance, self-extinguishing properties, environmental durability, and electrical insulation. It possesses unique resilience and the ability to absorb vibrational energy, along with favorable electromagnetic wave transparency and high-temperature stability. Sandwich structures made with aramid paper honeycomb significantly reduce weight while maintaining structural rigidity.

Applications

Aerospace; ceilings, doors, floors, and partitions in high-speed railway carriages; bulkheads, floors, and furniture in various racing boats, high-speed vessels, and luxury yachts.
