Continuous Felt

Continuous filament mat is a non-woven glass fiber mat utilizing an insoluble binder, designed for RTM (Resin Transfer Molding) and vacuum infusion processes with unsaturated polyester, vinyl ester, and epoxy resins. Due to the helical arrangement of continuous filaments interlocked in coil-like patterns, the fiber distribution remains relatively loose and elastic. This structure facilitates easier penetration by the matrix material during composite molding processes, making it commonly used as a flow medium in fiber layups.
